ORIENTATION & flagger class available dates

*IMPORTANT NOTICE

You will receive your flagger card at the beginning of your first day of work. 

 

Class Location:

TraffiCorp Headquarters - 5077 N Building Center Dr. Coeur d Alene ID. 83815

 

Class Schedule:

9:00am - 9:30am  TraffiCorp Orientation for New Hires. (You)

9:30am - 12:00pm  Flagger class.

12:00pm - 1:00pm  Open book test to receive your flagger card.

 

*Roughly 2 bathroom & rest breaks will be taken throughout.

About our New Hire Orientation & Flagger Certification Class

Flagger Certification cards are valid for 3 years in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Montana.

Students must be at least 18 years old and must bring a valid State I.D. Card or Drivers License to the class. There is an open book test at the end of class in which you must have a passing score of 80% in order to receive your certification.

Course Details

  • Class is around 4 hours long.
  • Students receive Traffic Control Flagger Certification Handbook (yours to keep and reference on the job).
  • Students take an open book test at the end of the class.
  • Students receive their Flagger Card on the first day of work.
  • Students must be at least 18 years of age.

Requirements

  1. Receive and communicate specific instructions clearly, firmly, and courteously.
  2. Move and maneuver quickly.
  3. Control signaling devices, such as paddles.
  4. Understand and apply safe traffic-control practices.
  5. Recognize dangerous traffic situations and warn workers.
  6. Stand for prolonged periods on uneven surfaces. (up to 10 hours)
  7. Traverse uneven surfaces and terrain.
  8. Stoop, kneel, or crouch.
  9. Grasp, push, or pull.
  10. Hear warnings.
  11. See dangerous situations.
  12. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  13. Receive, understand, and take positive appropriate action based on information/instructions presented verbally and/or in writing.
